Red Men Host Bluejays Wednesday

The Carthage College Red Men (7-6-2, 1-2-1 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) return to Art Keller Field for a crucial conference match against the Elmhurst College Bluejays (7-5-2, 2-3 CCIW) Wednesday, Oct. 18th.


SETTING THE SCENE

- The Red Men sit at sixth in the CCIW with a 1-2-1 record behind Elmhurst College, Wheaton College, Illinois Wesleyan University, North Park University, and North Central College.

- Elmhurst College and Illinois Wesleyan University remain the only two teams ahead of the Red Men they have yet to face.

- Wednesday's win will be crucial for Carthage to keep their post-season dreams alive.


LAST TIME OUT

- The Red Men will be entering Wednesday's match following a loss against the Big Blue of Millikin University.

- Forward Jerry Patino scored in the first half for his third goal of the season.

- Forward/Midfielder Zach Schoffstall lead the offensive with three Shots, and three Shots On Goal.

- Brayan Arce Justiniano made six saves in the match, solidifying his status in the Top Five on the All-Time Career Lists with 86 saves in two seasons.


SCOUTING THE BLUEJAYS

- The Bluejays come into Wednesday's match with a 2-1 win against Illinois Institute of Technology.

- The Bluejays have earned CCIW wins against the Millikin University (1-0), and Augustana College (3-2 OT).

- Senior Jamie Tausend is one start shy of tying for most Career Starts by a Red Men, and two more to take the sole spot.
