Red Men Prepare for Weekend vs Titans and Oles

The Carthage men's soccer team (8-6-2, 2-2-1 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) will be preparing for a jam packed weekend with an away contest against CCIW rival Illinois Wesleyan University (8-4-1, 3-1 CCIW) and a CCIW hiatus against St. Olaf College (2-11).
SETTING THE SCENE
- The Red Men continue to hunt for a CCIW post-season berth, following a (w/l) against Elmhurst College.
- The Red Men will also take another CCIW hiatus with a non-conference contest against St. Olaf College.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Red Men bouted the Bluejays of Elmhurst College with a 5-0 win.
- Jerry Patino and Adrian Herrera highlighted the Red Men offense with two goals apiece.
- Niko Mavrogiannis made two saves at goalie for his second shutout of the season.
- Jamie Tausend tied the all-time record for Most Career Starts on the team with 74.
SCOUTING THE TITANS
- Illinois Wesleyan currently sit in third in CCIW conference standings with a 3-1 CCIW record.
- The Titans will be entering Saturday's contest following an overtime win against CCIW rival Millikin University
- Doug Ballard leads the Titan offense with six Goals and 13 Shots on Goal.
- Joe Johnson anchors the Titan Defense with 29 Saves on 13 Goals Against, totaling a 69 Saves Percentage.

- The Red Men lead the all-time series against the Titans with a 17-6-1 record.
