- The Red Men solidified their CCIW Tournament Spot
As the season comes to a close and the hunt for a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament Bid on the line, the Carthage College Red Men (11-6-2, 4-2-1 CCIW) traveled to Waukesha, WI to face off against the Carroll Pioneers.
The Red Men would edge the Pios 1-0 for their fourth shut out on the season thanks to a penalty kick goal from Adrian Herrera in the 18th minute of play. From there, the Red Men would continue to attempt to capitalize on offensive efforts, but no conversion success.
The Red Men would lead the Pioneers 16-5 in Shots (12-1 Shots On Goal) and 4-3 in Corner Kicks.
Brayan Arce Justiniano earned one save at the goalkeeping helm.
The Red Men return to Art Keller Field for a Senior Night match against Augustana, which will recognize captains Jamie Tausend and Johnny Rimkus alongside seniors Daniel Axtman, Joey Klawitter, and Sahr Mahoney.
